Charlotte Crosby has been overwhelmed by support from her fans after opening up to heat about her ectopic pregnancy.

The Geordie Shore star told her followers that she realises she "deserves better" after Gary Beadle – the father of her child – wouldn't come home when she was in hospital having a major operation to save her life.

"I'm overwhelmed with all the supportive messages for every1.....I want to explain to every1 I did this for my own piece of mind and sanity," she said in a message.

"And mostly closure.....my life is so public I was scared it may come out from some1 else. I wanted to explain it all from my words.

"It's been really really hard and painful phsically and emotionally carrying this on my shoulders, and having to see Gary blame a lot of things on me, and see hurtful things wrote about me. This past 2 months I've had a lot to deal with. And now I do feel a weight lifted off my shoulders."

Charlotte, 26, also said she would no longer be talking about her relationship with Gary from this point onward, after he was told of her ectopic pregnancy over the phone during filming for Ex On The Beach but declined to come home to see her.

"I really hope by doing this people respect the fact I don't want to be asked anymore questions about Gary. This will be the last time I talk about him or the situation. I hope every1 respects that," she continued.

"I deserve better. I realise that now. I have a lot of really exciting things going on and some amazing opportunities coming up!! I'm gunna fling myself into work and focus on everything great."

Charlotte also blasted Gaz on Twitter, saying the care and attention he showed her over five years of Geordie Shore has "only ever been for the cameras".

Gary has yet to reply to Charlotte's emotional heat interview, but yesterday posted a thinly veiled message about the situation:

Meanwhile, heat has had thousands of positive messages flood in for Charlotte, with many of you praising her bravery and emotional honesty about a difficult time in her life.
