**UPDATE: ** Industry sources have now revealed that Cheryl will NOT appear at Cannes Film festival as they feel like "it is too soon for her to return to work".
A L’Oreal spokesperson said: "Having only given birth less than one month ago, Cheryl will not be attending Cannes Film Festival 2017 with L’Oreal Paris."
A source added to The Sun Online: "Cheryl only gave birth last month so understandably it is too soon for her to return to work."
Fair enough.
Last week fans went wild when Cheryl gave us a rare insight into her new life us a mum by changing her Instagram bio to 'living in a love bubble' with her boyfriend Liam Payne and their new born baby boy and if we were her, we would probably stay there forever. Sounds well cosy.
But despite Cheryl apparently insisting that she wants to keep her family life firmly out of the public eye, she's still a mega A-lister with HUGE commitments and public appearances.
Le sigh.
Sources have told The Sun that Cheryl will apparently be making her first ever appearance as a mum at Cannes Film Festival next month – an event that she always attends because she's a L'Oreal brand ambassador. Chezza and Liam even made their red-carpet debut as an official couple there last year.
The source said: "As a brand ambassador for L’Oreal, Cheryl is contractually obliged to make an appearance at Cannes Film Festival.
"Cannes is the most glamorous showbiz event in the world and Cheryl is always incredibly proud to be invited and represent the brand."
And because Cheryl clearly considers her involvement with L'Oreal veeeery important, especially as she used their ad campaign for The Princes Trust to unveil her baby bump back in February – we're thinking that this could be legit.
The insider added that the event would be perfect for Cheryl to pop into the limelight again: "Prestigious Cannes is the perfect way for Cheryl to return to the limelight, show off her post-baby figure and let everyone see how happy she is since becoming a mum."
Maybe Liam could join her? Liam is currently in LA making sweet, sweet music and told fans that he's missing his little family 'a lot'.
