Documents filed at Companies House show that CherCo Productions Ltd - the company set up to handle Cheryl Tweedy's income from The X Factor - has officially been liquidated. In other words, it's looking like she will NOT be returning to the show.

An insider told The Sun Online: "Cheryl isn't going back onto the panel, even as a guest judge. She's moving forward and currently has no plans to return. She's had a great few years working on The X Factor – she won it twice (Alexandra Burke, 2008 and Joe McElderry in 2009) – but currently, she's looking ahead and the focus next year will be all about her music."

We must say, it's been a while since Cheryl has dropped a bangin' song. However Cheryl and Liam Payne welcomed their son, Bear Payne, in March; so she's probably busy with mummy duties rn. At least she's apparently planning to make a comeback next year, eh?

Another source told The Sun Online that CherCo Productions Ltd was the company who dealt with Cheryl's earnings from The X Factor. The company was worth a whopping £1.9m when it shut down and it cost £9,000 to settle it.

This all comes after a source recently told The Daily Star: "Simon wants to pull out all the stops for this year's show and bagging Cheryl's long-awaited return to telly would be one of his top wishes."

Shame.

In August, Simon Cowell appeared on Dan Wootton's Bizarre podcast and denied making Cheryl a £500,000 offer for her to return; admitting "that's more than I would earn." However, he did honestly say that he'd like to have her back adding "I think it would be good for her."

As you may have heard, Simon had apparently not heard from Cheryl in six bloody months. But it seems as though they're back on good terms and in contact as he said on the podcast: "She got my number a couple of weeks ago, sent me a text, typical Cheryl 'How are you, miss you, love to talk to you.'"
