Liam Payne teased fans of him and his partner Cheryl this week by claiming the celebrity couple had secretly got married.
The One Direction singer joked he had wed the former Girls Aloud star during a media interview.
When speaking of his career, Liam told French music website On The Move: “To be honest with you I don’t know yet what it is like to write while being a father, I have not passed through this experience.
“I have something that I’m preparing with Timbaland and I was writing with Pharrell when his wife was pregnant along with my wife for that matter.”
What a minute… did he say WIFE?! When did that happen.
A spokesperson for Liam even spoke out to put the self-generated rumours to bed, saying: “No they are not married.”
However, Liam does treat the mother of his child Bear very well - he recently threw an extravagant 34th summer-themed birthday for her.
Cheryl’s former Girls Aloud bandmate Nicola Roberts happily shared picture of the bash on her Instagram page.
Loving Liam threw together a forest-themed garden party for his famous girlfriend at their Surrey home complete with decorative streamers hanging from the trees.
Quirky birdcages and bouquets also added to the festive feel of the day and, to top it off, the couple sat down together to enjoy an episode of Love Island that evening.
What a perfect day!
