This year's Oscars was eventful AF and, quite frankly, a bit of a mess.
We had the whole Best Picture La La Land / Moonlight situation, the Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan pretending to have banter and generally making everyone feel a bit uncomfortable situation.
Then there was the situation of Nicole Kidman's clapping.
It was the clapping of nightmares.
WHAT WAS SHE DOING? Did nobody ever teach her how to clap? IS SHE A SEAL?
Thankfully, these questions have been answered.
It was actually just because she was wearing a shit load of jewellery and wanted to protect it. Which is probably fair.
While she was a guest on Kiss FM's Kyle and Jackie O, Kyle said: "It's because of the rings you idiots, like that's why she's clapping like that - she doesn't want to damage the jewels!"
She responded: "Yes, yes! I'm so glad you clarified that because it was really awkward! I was like, 'Gosh, I really want to clap.'
"I don't want to not be clapping, which would be worse right? Why isn't Nicole clapping?
"So therefore I'm clapping but it was really difficult because I had this huge ring on which was not my own but was absolutely gorgeous and I was terrified of damaging it! You nailed it Kyle!
"It's like, is there not more important things to be focused on than the 'seal clap'?"
