As he awaits his Australian visa application results, Chris Brown has taken to Twitter to issue a plea to everyone down under to welcome him in.
Chris promised his followers that he would help raise awareness of domestic abuse issues in Australia if officials permitted him in.

Over several tweets, the rapper said:
“I would be more than grateful to come to Australia to raise awareness about domestic violence. I’m not the pink elephant in the room anymore.
“My life mistakes should be a wake up call for everyone. Showing the world that mistakes don't define you. Trying to prevent spousal abuse.
“The youth don't listen to parents nor do they listen to PSA's. The power that we have as Entertainers can change lives.”
Chris pleaded guilty to assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, and went on to accept a plea deal of community service, five years' formal probation, and domestic violence counselling.
It’s this previous conviction that's behind his visa denial, despite him previously touring the country twice since the incident.
Australia’s Immigration Minister Peter Dutton said his department has issued Chris with a ‘notice of intention to consider refusal’.
Minister for Women, Michaelia Cash also said:
"My strong recommendation would be: If you are going to commit domestic violence and then you want to travel the world, there are going to be countries that say to you: ‘You cannot come in because you are not of the character that we expect in Australia.’
And an online petition has also been set up by GetUp!, urging that Chris be banned from entering the country.
The advocacy group tweeted:
"It’s horrifying just how many men who have convictions of violence against women still enjoy a career in the entertainment industry.’"
We wonder if Chris’s pleas and promises will win over the Aussie nation? Only time will tell.
