Cynthia Nixon, who plays sardonic lawyer Miranda Hobbs in Sex and the City, has announced that she’d be up for making a third film – but only if Sarah Jessica Parker agrees to it as well. (When you think about it, this isn’t the wildest of requests seeing as a Sex and the City film without Carrie in it strikes us as mildly problematic to say the least.)

She told Woman magazine that she was really proud of SATC, adding: “I'd absolutely do another Sex and the City movie - if Michael Patrick King wanted to write it and Sarah Jessica Parker wanted to do it. I'm very proud of it".

However, Cynthia has previously suggested that her feelings towards the franchise are more complicated than this.

In the past she has said she found parts of the first film "devastating".

She said: "I remember when we screened the first movie in London. When Mr. Big shows Carrie that closet he's built for her and the entire audience clapped. I found that devastating. Maybe that's a strong word, but I was disheartened.

"Is this what these women think true love is? A man who has enough money to buy you a walk-in closet?"

No comment from us on that one.

If you’re a Cynthia Nixon fan, her next project involves her starring as a mother battling cancer in the kickstarter-funded film James White.
