David Gest has been found dead in a London hotel room today (Tuesday 12 April).
The Metropolitan Police told heat: "Police were called at 10:17hrs on Tuesday 12 April to the Four Seasons hotel, in Westferry Circus, E14, to reports of an unexplained death of a man in his 60s. Life was pronounced extinct at the hotel.
"A post-mortem will be held in due course. Next of kin are in the process of [being] informed."
The police later added: "This is being treated as non-suspicious at this stage."
It comes just months after David's stint on Celebrity Big Brother, during which he was mistakenly pronounced dead by Tiffany Pollard after she was told by Angie Bowie that "David is dead" - except Angie was talking about her ex-husband, David Bowie.
In a truly bizarre twist of fate, David was gearing up to present his David Gest Is Not Dead But Alive With Soul tour in July 2016 when he was found dead.
David was out with his CBB housemates Jeremy McConnell and Stephanie Davis just last week, with Jeremy captioning the resulting Instagram snap: "Bringing grandad out for a walk."
