Did you SEE the peen on last night’s Great British Bake Off?

BREAD PEEN

We can probably all agree that bread week has the capacity to deliver the most iconic Great British Bake Off creations of all.

By this, we're obviously talking about the lion of 2015.

Do you remember the lion? Of course you remember the lion. The lion was the best thing to ever, ever, happen to bread / life.

Let's all just take a moment to remember the lion.

This week's standout bread offering wasn't quite as legendary as the lion, but was great all the same.

We're of course talking about the bread peen.

You may have noticed that we at heat bloody love a peen. From Alex Bowen (MASSIVE peen), to Lewis Bloor (MASSIVE AND HAIRLESS peen), to Gary Beadle (MASSIVE parsnip) – we just can't get enough of them.

So a baked peen is really right up our street, and it looked DELICIOUS.

The peen was the creation of project manager Tom Gillford, who insisted that it was actually Thor's hammer – but we all knew it was a peen.

Hosts Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc commented: "The shape you have created here it's very male isn't it…?" and Paul Hollywood declared it is favourite, saying: "Yeah it's because it's a hammer, it's strong."

Predictably, everyone on Twitter literally died (not literally).

One commented: "Tom did a massive bread cock and Mary didn't even bat an eyelid," and another: "Did I just see someone make a cock and balls with bread? #GBBO."

Yes, yes you did.

Selasi Gbormittah was once again the absolute king of our hearts with his ridiculously relaxed attitude to the show – did you SEE him just take a little break to chill on the floor?

Have you heard he's our boyfriend?

(NB: He's definitely not).
