You know how Ed Sheeran went off for a year and we missed him terribly and wanted him back, and now he is back and he’s bloody everywhere?

Well, that. We’re loving it.

As well as dropping two absolute bangers at the start of the year (which we are currently listening to every day on repeat), he did a marvelous cover of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme tune and revealed that his house has a load of underground tunnels that lead to a private pub.

Oh, Ed. So happy you’re back. And please invite us to your secret boozer.

But one of the biggest stories to come out about our favourite redhead (soz, Emma Stone) was the one about his face scar.

You know, how Princess Beatrice apparently sliced his cheek accidentally with a big royal sword while pretending to knight James Blunt?

Yeah, we know, it’s a sentence we never thought we would ever write. It sounds like a totally made up story.

And it turns out that Ed’s parents didn’t exactly believe his tale either.

Appearing on The Graham Norton show last night, Ed said: “I remember telling my dad about it and he didn’t believe me.

“[He said] ‘No, what really happened?’”

See, no matter how rich and famous you get, your parents are always going to pull you up if they think you’re telling porkies.

Ed also had a beautiful reunion with his childhood bestie on the show.

A fella called James was on the legendary Red Chair to tell a story, and it took Ed a few moments to realise that it was his old school pal.

And apparently, the first time he ever watched The Simpsons was with said mate.

CUTE.
