Eddie Redmayne has revealed that he’s paid the rent of struggling actors in London. In an interview with GQ, the actor admitted that he wanted to help other actors unable to cope with the cost of living in the capital.

“I get letters from people trying to go to drama school and needing to pay their rent,” Eddie said. “And so that's something I occasionally do. It's impossibly expensive to live in London.” Yes it is.

“Luckily, Eddie’s family lived in London which he credits helping him in his career. “The greatest privilege that I had was that my parents lived in London,” he added. “So when I was out of university and out of work for a year, working in a pub, I didn't pay rent.”
