Musicians and celebrities have been taking to social media to pay tribute to and show solidarity with the victims of the horrific attack at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester - which saw 22 people killed and 59 injured – last night.

From Harry Styles through to Bruno Mars, there has been a constant outpouring of sorrow across social media since the attacks were reported late Monday night.

However, others have been criticised for being 'insensitive' on Twitter, including former Ex On The Beach contestant James Moore.

The reality TV star was branded 'disgusting' after taking to Twitter shortly after the attack had been reported. He wrote: "I hope everyone got a good hit off that laughing gas balloon that went off," he joked, followed by an emoji that depicted a monkey covering its eyes."

Other twitter users responded, calling James 'vile' and questioning what made him deem it appropriate to joke about the tragic events in Manchester.

James has since taken to Twitter to justify his previous tweet. He explained: " I wrote that tweet before I knew anything had happened if people are hurt then obvs I hope there ok if Id of known I wouldn't have wrote it."
