We’ve all been there, right? When you have an epic break up that turns spectacularly sour really, REALLY quickly?

Well, Jodie Marsh is in that same situation with her estranged hubby James Placido, who she says is refusing to sign their divorce papers.

Charges against Jodie for harassment were recently dropped, but she exclusively tells heatworld that part of her is gutted about the decision, because she won’t get her day in court.

“Of course I’m pleased the case got dropped,” she tells us. “But there is a tiny part of me that is sad about it, because I wanted my text messages to be read out in court.

“I was asking for the money back that he owes my dad, but at no point did I threaten him.

“I documented all the things that he’s done – stuff that hasn’t come out yet – in those text messages.

“So I was looking forward to going to court so it all would have been read out and people would know the full story of what he did.”

Jodie claims that she also has secret footage of James’s behaviour taken during their turbulent relationship.

“I have video and audio recordings of him calling me names, being really, really nasty to me,” she says. “I don’t think he knows about half of the recordings I’ve got.

“I would obviously have used those as my defence as well, so people would have seen his true colours and what he’s really all about.”

Jodie alleges that James owes her dad £7000, which he is said to have loaned him as part of a new business deal.

“I’m devastated that he’s taken this money off my dad,” Jodie reveals. “It guts me on a daily basis that he has had £7000 of my dad’s money."

So what is stopping Jodie from releasing the secret recordings herself?

“I have to tread really carefully because I’d probably be arrested for harassment again,” she continues. “I didn’t like spending the night in a police cell.

“I’d be over the moon if the recordings got released, so that everyone could see what an arsehole he is.”

“Hopefully someone will steal my phone,” she adds. “I go to bed praying every night with my fingers crossed!”

Jodie admits that she’s “definitely” picked the wrong partners in the past, but says James went the extra mile to win her over before they tied the knot in August 2015.

“He pulled the wool over my eyes so much,” she explains. “He’d obviously done his homework on me - he knew everything about me.

“Years ago I’d said in an interview that my dream was to one day open an animal sanctuary, when I retire from showbiz.

“And within a week of meeting him, he told me his dream was to open an animal sanctuary, and was telling me he loved animals, especially dogs and horses.”

The former glamour model has now vowed to remain celibate for the time being, as she’s tired of dating useless blokes.

“This has broken the last bit of trust I had in humans,” she says. “I can’t shut myself off from the world forever just because of one bloke, but he was the last straw in a bad history of men. I’ve never had a decent boyfriend.

“I genuinely thought I’d found my soul mate and I thought for the first time in my life I’d found someone who loved me for me.”

But the optimistic star is hopeful for the future, and can see herself in a happy relationship again – with a woman.

“All of my friends have been telling me I need to be with a woman next,” Jodie explains. “I fancy women, I definitely do. So everybody’s saying I’d be safer and happier with a woman - I wouldn’t rule that out.”
