Ed Sheeran is literally living the life right now. He absolutely owned the BRIT Awards when he brought Stormzy on stage for their version of Shape Of You and basically every song in the UK top 20 is off his new album.

(He's also been tweeting Val Stones from Great British Bake Off and we can't imagine life getting any better than that really.)

Anyway, he's now gone and given us all the feels with his cover of Justin Bieber's Love Yourself for KISS FM.

LOOK, LISTEN AND LUUURRRRVE:

It's only really a half-cover 'cos Ed actually wrote the song which Justin made into a huge hit back in 2015.

Speaking on SiriusXM radio, Ed opened up about the song originally being written for Rihanna and not Justin. He also revealed the lyrics would have been a little bit, er, punchier…

"Rihanna could get away with saying 'you should go and f*ck yourself', in my mind anyway."

Ed also explained he never actually got around to showing the song to Rihanna, so gave it to Justin instead. Erm, sloppy seconds eh, Ed?

"It kind of came at a zeitgeist time for his career, where he had fallen out of grace with the public, and he had this comeback song that was quite grown up."

TBF, it was bit of a moment for JB.

It's also been reported that Ed is planning to put a boy band together.

Speaking to the Rolling Stone, Ed revealed that he was already in the process of auditioning members for the band, and had written a number of songs for them.

Talking about the music, he said: "[It is] really, really decent. Superpop, but obviously credible. I'm gonna put three or four boys together and do all the songs, take them on the stadium tour with me."
