er, so in a rather ridiculous state of affairs Gary Barlow off of Take That and that Let It Shine telly show's bagged himself a role in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Apparently it's been rumoured for a while after he was spotted hanging out around Pinewood Studios; and now it's properly official after he announced the role on Lorraine.

Interesting.

Chatting to Ross King, Garreh said: "I’m not a stormtrooper, but I am in it.

"Now I’ve said that, I’ll probably be out. I think the Star Wars people are so strict about what information [is out there]. So me saying that, I’ve probably just done myself out of a role."

Alrighty then.

Speaking to The Sun, a source said: "Gary is a huge Star Wars fan so this is a dream come true.

"The process has been kept top secret, as he doesn’t want anybody to find out.

"His connections in the film industry got him the part."

And obviously the internet's having an absolute field day, with the Tax-E-Vader joke doing the rounds all over Twitter.
