What's the most exciting thing that can ever possibly happen? Landing the job of your dreams? Getting married to the love of your life? The birth of your unborn child?

Nope – it's absolutely 100% the annual release of the John Lewis Christmas advert.

The advert is set for release this week, and people are getting veeeeeeery overexcited speculating what the theme will be this year. Last year's Man On The Moon will be bloody difficult to top, but we bet they'll manage it.

A major component of each ad is obviously the song. They've tended to use covers of well-known tunes like Sweet Child O' Mine, The Power Of Love, Your Song, Half The World Away etc etc.

And this year it's been reported by The Sun that they'll use One Day I'll Fly Away - which is kinda making us cry a lil just thinking about it.

The song, made popular by the likes of Nicole Kidman in Moulin Rouge and Kimberly Walsh, is reportedly said by Music industry mail-out Record of the Day to have been covered by English electronica trio Vaults.

We REALLY hope this is true because that song is f*cking beautiful AF.

This news comes after the whole world went a bit wild when an A-Level student released a spoof John Lewis advert that was actually really amazing.

It's called "The Snowglobe" and was made for perhaps the best A Level media coursework to have ever existed.

The creator, Nick Jablonka, wrote alongside it: "I uploaded this video with no intention of it becoming so popular.

"This definetly [sic] isn't the official John Lewis advert. I wasn't going to upload it at all, the title and the video are as it was submitted so I really didn''t mean for the confusion. Although I really appreciate the overwhelming comments, I do believe this piece could do with a lot of work as it was done in around 2 weeks from start to finish."

TWO WEEKS.

Literally, John Lewis, give this guy a job.
