Gemma Collins takes on Katie Hopkins on weight – and WINS!

Well. Sort of. She did compare Katie to Hitler, so…

Pitching two of the most outspoken women of our time against each other could have gone only two ways: all-out war and bloodshed, or a peaceful covenant that would have lasted centuries.

But it looks like TLC has pulled off a stroke of genius by bringing Katie Hopkins and Gemma Collins together for the first episode of If Katie Hopkins Ruled The World, because there were FIREWORKS and HYPOCRACY EXPOSED and GEMMA COLLINS REFERRING TO HERSELF IN THE THIRD PERSON AS ‘THE GC’ ONCE AGAIN.

Speaking backstage after filming, Gemma told the Mirror that Katie really went after her about her weight – but was nice as pie to her when the cameras stopped rolling.

“What Katie was going on about is she’s basically a fattist – she’s obsessed with people that are fat,” Gemma pointed out.

“Even though she couldn’t stop complimenting me on how beautiful I was when she met me backstage, she’s basically gunning for fat people.”

The TOWIE star then talked about how Katie thinks people who weigh more than 80kg – or 12 stone 8 – should buy two seats when they fly.

“But I was just like, ‘Do you know what, shut up Katie, I fit in one seat quite comfortably.’ She’s out to shock and nothing can shock the GC.”

That’s probably the most sensible thing we’ve ever heard from Gemma. Well, it was…

“The thing is – in the nicest possible way – she’s like Hitler. She’s just got very out-there opinions. She’s just a little keyboard warrior.”

Um, Hitler? We doing this, Gem? Oh sheesh.

If Katie Hopkins Ruled The World starts Thursday 6 August at 10pm over on TLC.
