We at heat have been in a perpetual state of mourning since The X Factor left out screens last Sunday, and the only thing keeping us going is that absolute banger of a Winner's Single When Christmas Comes Around.

The X Factor winners tend to receive a year-long contract with Simon's label, Syco, but it's emerged that Matt Terry has actually been signed to Sony's RCA.

Wowzers.

This is apparently because bosses want him to be the next Olly Murs (who's also signed to the label).

TBF we could all use some more Olly Murs in the world.

A source said: "Simon and Sony have had a think and believe that Matt is very much an artist in the mould of Olly Murs.

"And to that end, they both believe he should be a label mate of Olly’s on RCA. Everyone is thrilled with Matt’s victory and how brilliantly the winner's single is doing," they continued to The Sun.

"It’s already been the iTunes No1 for well over 24 hours even though it only came out late on Sunday evening."

Matt Terry's gonna be successful AF wherever he is, let's be real.

In other Matt Terry news (we just can't get enough of that at the moment lol), he's denied that apparent "kiss" with Freddie Parker at the X Factor final.

Beady eyed viewers were quick to notice the perceived lip locking and took to Twitter the share the news.

"Very glad #MattTerry won #XFactor well deserved and did I see him kiss @FreddyParker98 at the end I do hope so!!"

Another added: "Matt and Freddy are definitely a couple, after that hug from behind and that kiss! #xfactorfinal #XFactor #XFactorUK2016 #mattterry"

But Matt told The Sun: "I don’t know what this is about. Freddy is my little brother, we hit it off straight away. Since day one, we are just bros man. We have such a bromance going – no relationship I’m afraid guys, I’m sorry to say. Sorry man."

He then joked: "No I don’t think we kissed but he would have been lucky if I did."
