So you know how Little Mix's Jade Thirlwall was rumoured to be in the running for the role of Princess Jasmine in Guy Ritchie's live action movie remake of Disney's Aladdin? Well the cast was finally revealed earlier this week, and with Naomi Scott in said role our Jade seemed pretty peeved.
Yup - everyone assumed her sassy indirect Instagram of a Shout Out to My Ex screengrab claiming she's 'over it' was related to her losing out on the job; and now her boyfriend Jed Elliott of The Struts has admitted she is 'a little disappointed.'
(The post was also apparently about her laryngitis, poor love.)
Chatting about the whole scenario, Jed told The Sun: "She's good. Obviously she was a little disappointed to not be involved because she's a huge Disney fan. That would have been a dream role for her. She's still a huge Disney fan and she'll still be first in line for the cinema when it comes out."
Lovely.
The movie now sees Power Rangers star (she was the pink one) Naomi as Jasmine, Mena Massoud as Aladdin himself and Will Smith as Genie. Incredible.
At least you're still in the world's biggest girlband, eh Jade?
