Here’s the news you’ve all been waiting for (or not, if you’re not into cars, but if so, why are you reading, eh?).

Jeremy Clarkson is reported to be Netflix’s new motoring show host – and his old buddies Richard Hammond and James May are going to join him.

The Sunday Times reports that an official statement will be made in a few weeks, while the Mirror’s sources say that a deal is “very close”.

Weeeeeeeeey! Loads more blokey banter and people wasting petrol to come, then.

Seriously though, how much petrol has Clarkson got through over the years with his incessant revving? LOADS, THAT’S HOW MUCH.

Jezza was famously let go from the show after he punched a producer in the face after he failed to bring him a steak at the end of a long day’s filming.

Netflix, have you got loads and loads of steaks written into the contract? We hope so. Jeremy is NOT a man who takes well to being hungry at the end of a long day of engine-revving.

Chris Evans has replaced Jeremy as the new host of Top Gear. Maybe he’s a vegetarian.
