New Harry Potter play The Cursed Child WILL be a sequel!

It’s going to tell the story of Harry and his three children as they “battle his past”. Spooky

Remember when Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows came out and every book nerd kicked off about the epilogue, in which Harry ended up with Ginny Weasley and they had three kids together? Yeah, we remember. We still feel pretty betrayed by J K Rowling, tbh.

But luckily she’s gone some way to make up to us with a brand new chapter in the Harry Potter saga – this time as a play.

TOP NEWS

Harry Potter And The Cursed Child is set 19 years after the events of the last book and tells the story of Harry and his youngest son Albus, who struggles with his dad’s legacy.

It’s scheduled to kick off at the Palace Theatre in London’s West End on 30 July 2016, and will be split into two parts.

Throughout the run, Part 1 will be performed on Wednesdays at 2pm, Thursdays at 7.30pm, Saturdays at 2pm and Sundays at 1pm, while Part 2 will be shown on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7.30pm, and on Sundays at 6.30pm.

    Confusing, no?

Look! The official artwork has a SNITCH on it!

The blurb for the play says: “It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children.

“While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted.

“As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.”

Ooh-er. We hope that doesn’t mean the Potter family is harbouring a secret future dark lord. That’s the Malfoys’ region, we reckon.

Tickets for Parts 1 and 2 go on sale next Friday (30 October) – or from Wednesday 28 if you’re a priority booker – and prices start at £15 per part all the way up to £50.
