t's a truth universally acknowledged that this year's I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here was on top form. From Larry Lamb saving Scarlett Moffatt from a capsized canoe to Jordan Banjo stripping off in the shower - it was probably the best thing to come out of 2016. Which isn't an accomplishment really…
The one thing that was missing however, was a love-story. We were hankering for a Katie Price and Peter Andre saga which we could get our teeth into. (Probably a lot healthier than a brie stuffed baguette).
Well, it looks like the gods have listened to our teeth-chomping fantasies as Rear Of The Year Carol Vorderman was snapped going for brunch this Christmas, with none other then fellow contestant Joel Dommett. And HIS GRANNY.
You really have to see it to believe it. Carol actually visited Joel in his hometown Bristol.
They discussed milking cows. We mean, that’s definitely past the god-awful small talk of weather and traffic isn’t it. Milking cows is definitely a topic for AT LEAST the seventh date.
THEN THIS CEMENTED THE LOVE.
Carol said she is loving the jacket that Joel 'acquired'. Meaning he either stole it or the Countdown mega-brain gave it to him for Christmas. We are going to go for the latter. Investigative journalism at it's finest.
Of course, we saw the early blooming signs of romance in the jungle. There was Joel’s poignant, ‘there’s no age limit on love’ revelationand Carol asked during one episode, if she could touch Joel’s stick to which Joel responded, ‘Absolutely Carol. You can touch the stick. It’s a sturdy shaft.’
OOH ER.
However, Carol was quick to clear up any confusion and wrote to her 373k followers on Twitter, ‘And finally for today (it's been busy!!) @joeldommett and I are NOT an item, we're happy jungle #friends X [sic[’

Friends who spend all of Christmas together brunching. Meeting Grannies? Hmm.
