Poor old Rylan Clarke-Neal has quit Twitter after he faced a huge backlash from The Chase fans.

It was announced a few days ago that his nw show, Babushka, will be taking the slot of the ITV show while it goes on its break (that it has literally every year, people) – and fans were reaaaaally not happy.

C’mon, guys, it’s just a gameshow?

He wrote, according to The Sun: "Getting a bit ridiculous now. Just doing my job. Enjoy the show. Coming off here for a while."

His account has now seemingly been deactivated.

Rylan had nodded to the controversy previously on his Twitter, posting a meme that reads: "When the chase always has a break EVERY SINGLE YEAR but people still be like..."

Babushka starts on May 1, and features contestants searching through Russian Dolls to find cash (which sounds stressful AF, btw), and we’ll deffo be watching <3.
