Peter Andre has opened up about his relationship with Katie Price's first-born Harvey, explaining he taught Pete how to be a father.
Now a proud dad to Junior and Princess (with Katie Price), and Amelia and Theo with his second wife Emily, Pete revealed it was his experience in helping to parent Harvey that taught him how to be a dad and insists he's still in contact with the 15-year-old.
Speaking to Australia's KISS FM Pete explained: "The first child that taught me how to be a dad was Harvey."
However, Katie has previously hinted that Pete has not remained as big a part of Harvery's life as she had hoped, previously admitting: "When you divorce you have to share the kids. But with Harvey there's no one. Well, look, Dwight don't want to know. Someone else doesn't see him anymore. He's just got me, you know?", according to The Mirror.
But Pete maintains he's still in regular contact with Harvey.
"He's such a good-hearted boy, I see him a bit more now, which is amazing. He's just the best, I love him," he revealed in Now magazine last year.
Pete also added: "There's always room for Harvey at our house. I always saw him as my own. There's a special place in my heart for him - he's very important to me and he's always welcome."
Continuing his with KISS FM radio interview, Pete admitted that he's a very strict father, particularly when it comes to his son Junior.
"[Junior] is a good looking boy and a very polite boy.
"I'm a bit too strict on him, unfortunately, but I think being strict on them will pay off in the long run. They roll their eyes at me all the time for being strict with them and telling them to have manners and be respectful to people, but my dad was strict with me."
