Katy Perry and Niall Horan have both opened up about their relationship with one another following claims Niall has repeatedly been trying to chat her up.
Last week Katy claimed former One Direction star Niall had flirted with her on a number of occasions but he had failed on his romantic mission because he was 10 years younger than her.
But Niall has now spoken out, saying he does not completely agree with what Katie has publicly said.
During an appearance on Australian television show The Project, he said after being asked if he had a message to pass on to the US singer: “Katy, please stop being mean to me!
“She is just finding any excuse to just patronise me and go around spreading rumours about me. I just want to be her friend!”
However, the pair have a long history of flirting with one another for all to see, with Niall previously making her to marry him over Twitter and Katy giving him a sly wink at the BRIT Awards in 2014.
But Katy went on to appear on the very same TV programme as Niall Down Under the next day and again instead she’s simply too old for him.
She said: “He wants to go out on a date. Have you seen the movie The Graduate? That’s kind of what this feels like.
“I could be his mum!”
