You can’t blame the Love Island contestants for trying to cash in on their five minutes of fame.
After their time in the famous villa many of the show’s stars hit the nightclub circuit and rake in the cash from making personal appearances.
And Alex Beattie is no stranger to this - but something he’s done in the process has left some people slightly bemused.
The reality star filmed a video for Kidderminster’s Nubu Nightclub where he and Kem Cetinay spent the evening on Saturday.
In the promotional clip, he says: “Yo! It’s Alex here, the apparent quiet one from Love Island. Me and Kem are going to be at Nubu Nightclub on the 29th. It’s gonna go off!”
The… erm… cringeworthy nature of the video didn’t exactly go unnoticed with fellow reality stars, The Only Way Is Essex’s Dan Osborne and Geordie Shore’s Marty McKenna, both tweeting to ask “wtf”.
Literally hundreds of other Twitter users responded to the video after not quite believing what they had seen.
One person wrote: “I feel like my eyes see Alex but my ears hear something completely different.”
Someone else commented: “This is the most awkwardest and cringe video I have ever seen.”
And someone else remarked: “This video just wrecked my weekend - cheers.”
