The phrase "Kim Kardashian and Kanye West might go to prison" is probably the maddest thing we've written all year (and we write a lot of mad things ) – but it might actually be true.
OK, it's almost definitely not going to happen. Kimye could probably incorporate the services of every single lawyer in America if they had to – BUT so could Taylor Swift. So THERE IS A CHANCE.
Obviously it's Tay Tay who's threatening them with legal action (who else?), meaning the most interesting feud of the decade just got EVEN MORE EVENTFUL. Taylor's lawyers are apparently of the thought that K & K have violated something called California penal code 632, which makes it illegal to record calls without permission from both sides in the state.
They've warned Kanye that Taylor didn't give consent to the call recordings of her seemingly agreeing to the lyrics about her in his song Famous, and that she wasn't aware she was being taped.
A source from the US told The Sun: "Taylor's team believe that Kanye and Kim have quite clearly broken the law.
"They are on a mission to destroy Taylor but there could be serious consequences because they made the phone call from California where it is illegal to tape calls without permission.

“They didn’t ask permission from Taylor and that could be considered a felony where the offenders can be jailed for up to three years.”
Taylor responded to the tapes with an Instagram post defending herself soon after they were released, but has stayed quiet since then. We like to think she's sitting hunched up in a boardroom full of lawyers, plotting and making Kimye voodoo dolls.
