Rarely a day goes by when the Kardashian's aren't causing some sort of stir on social media. From Kim Kardashian's super cute but slightly odd return to Instagram, to some seriously raunchy snaps or Kylie Jenner's secret behind the perfect selfie.
This time it's the oldest of the Kardashian Klan – Kourtney – who's ruffled a few feathers on the gram.
Kourt posted a selfie with her daughter Penelope and was met with a load of criticism as it appeared as though Penelope had her lip pierced in the shot.
They were quick to question whether it was real: "Is the lip ring real," one follower asked.
We're 99.9999999% sure little Penelope doesn't actually have a new hipster piercing, but Kourtney didn’t actually help the situation as she captioned the pic: "Our Oscar Sunday. Yes, that's a lip ring. Thanks @KimKardashian."
One fan said: "Ridiculous how can you give it to such a little girl."
Another added: "Why don't you just add a belly button ring too?"
Erm, guys? Can we all just take a second to be a bit rational? It's not real.
We're pretty sure Penelope's just being a kid, messing around with fake jewellery. When we were kids we used to clip paper clips to our ears and nose so we'd look glamourous and sophisticated with our fancy facial piercings.
Let's not even get started on the biro tattoos and beauty marks. WE WERE EXPERIMENTING OK?
