After months of pregnancy speculation, and then what felt like actual years waiting for the baby to arrive once she showcased her baby bump, Cheryl and Liam welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world last week.
Taking to Instagram to share the news on Saturday evening, Cheryl wrote: "On Wednesday 22nd March Liam and I became parents to an incredibly beautiful, healthy baby boy, weighing 7lb 9 and looking like a dream. Although he still doesn't have a name he is already stealing hearts. We are all madly in love and overwhelmingly happy with our little arrival. Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers around the world. A day that now has a different meaning to me forever."
Liam also shared the same image, with a similar post, saying: "My close friends and family know there are very few times when I’m left speechless…wow! I’m incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world, it’s a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favorite memory I have so far. We haven’t named him yet but he’s already capturing hearts including mine. I feel very blessed."
And now it appears the couple are adjusting to life as parents with a little help from Cheryl's mum, Joan Callaghan.
It's reported that Cheryl has moved her mum into her and Liam's Surrey mansion to help them adjust to parenthood.
Speaking to The Sun, a source has said: "Joan will be very much on hand to help out Cheryl and Liam during the early stages of the baby’s life.
"It’s not going to be forever, but Joan has a room in the house and will be staying for however long she’s needed.
"Like any new grandmother, she just wants to offer as much support and possible, without treading on any footsteps. But her house in Newcastle is very much her home."
