Following a drugs overdose in Nevada last month, fans feared the worst for Lamar Odom. It was reported that after being rushed to hospital the basketball star – and husband of Khloe Kardashian – had a series of strokes and it was claimed his kidneys were failing.

But in the weeks following the news, Lamar has gone from strength to strength, with an insider telling Us Weekly he is getting better “slowly but surely”.

It’s now claimed he could be leaving the Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles as early as next week and will be moved to a rehab centre to start getting back to strength.

“Every day he is relearning how to do more with his motor skills,” an insider told Entertainment Tonight. “He is cognitively aware of everything but [it’s] hard to process a lot at once. He is still working with lots of therapists.”

The news comes just days after it was reported Lamar had a huge row with Khloe at the hospital.

US publications reported that as he started to get better, Lamar felt suffocated by Khloe and wanted some space. Since then, she has spent less time at the hospital with him and is expected to attend her mum Kris’ birthday party in West Hollywood tonight.
