Lewis Hamilton, mate. Come on. What are you playing at? If it’s not the dubious suits, it’s the diamond stud earrings – and if it’s not them, it’s uploading dodgy videos to your Instagram without thinking through the context.
That’s exactly what happened this week when the Formula 1 star had to swiftly take down a clip of himself firing a gun at some targets.

He can be seen wearing a black top and a backward baseball cap (sigh) aiming the semi-automatic weapon – thought to be an assault rifle – into a barren wasteland and firing at will.
Lewis deleted the footage after critics started pointing out how insensitive it was to upload a video of a live machine gun days after a gunman was arrested onboard a train in France.
The gunman was suspected of plotting a terrorist attack on the train but was foiled by a number of passengers who overpowered him.
Lewis himself claimed a friend of his uploaded the video to Instagram at the weekend, but quickly took it down when ordered to by Mercedes boss Niki Lauda.
“I went to the shooting range, shot some fun targets. It was a lot of fun,” he said of the controversy.
