Liam Payne could be set to make a bit of a career change after the arrival of his and Cheryl's baby.
Reports suggest that the One Direction star could be heading for the West End stage as he's apparently top of Andew Lloyd Webber's wish list to take the lead role in a new production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.
According to The Sun, a source has said: "Andrew has told those involved that his dream signing is Liam.
"He thinks he can bring so much to the role of Joseph, he’s a natural performer.
"There was talk of other popstars being approached but he wants to keep the bar high and they don’t come much bigger than 1D."
We couldn't agree more!
But Liam's already got his work cut out for him over the next few months. He's busy preparing for fatherhood as he waits (along with the rest of the world) for the imminent arrival of baby Chiam.
PLUS Liam's also been busy working on his solo album, jetting off to LA to record in the studio.
heat mag recently reported that Liam's commitment to his solo career has been putting stress on his relationship with Cheryl
A source told us: "Cheryl and Liam have talked a lot about his solo career and it’s caused some tension. While Liam is committed to being there for Cheryl and the baby, his record company want to move ahead with a September release for his new music and want him in the US to start doing promotional work months in advance.
"He’s reassured Cheryl the baby is his priority but even he’s not sure what’s going on with his schedule."
"She understands how difficult it can be to break America and wants Liam to achieve his dream, but she also doesn’t want to be waiting at home in Surrey, literally holding the baby, while he’s out in LA.
