Noel Gallagher's received a fair amount of flack for not reuniting Oasis and performing alongside Liam Gallagher at last weekend's One Love Manchester benefit concert. But now - after reports Liam 'begged' Noel to join him, rumour has it Noel was never actually asked to get involved.

Apparently Noel - who's said to be donating all profits made from sales of Don't Look Back in Anger which Ariana Grande and Coldplay's Chris Martin performed - to victimsof the tragic Manchester attack was never even in the picture.

Speaking to The Sun, a source said: "Noel has been getting a real bashing for not being at the gig, which is totally out of order.

"He’s been hugely supportive of the cause but hasn’t gone public as, in his mind, it’s not about him.

"The fact he wasn’t asked to even perform at any point by any of the organisers makes a mockery of Liam’s claims."

This all comes after insider-types claimed Liam begged his brother to join him at the show. A source told The Sun: "After accepting the offer to perform, Liam believed he could convince Noel to take part with him.”

"But his calls fell on deaf ears. Noel simply can’t entertain Liam, especially while he’s with his family on holiday."

Confusing, but okay.
