Liam Payne took to Twitter last night to express some feelings about X Factor judge, Louis Walsh. And they weren't so sweet.

And to the uninformed naïve follower, they seemed to come right out of the blue.

Liam wrote: "Congratulations to Louis Walsh for setting the worst example on handling media for his band who are about to step into a very hard industry."

Ouch.

He then continued: "Maybe it's about time you realise it's not all about you and shut the f*ck up for once, let them speak."

Jheeeez. We’re sensing a lot of pent up frustration here Liam, hun.

Where did all this come from?

Well, it turns out Liam was jumping to his gal's defence, as Louis had been a bit rude about his former co-star Cheryl during an interview this week.

At a photocall with 5 After Midnight, Louis was reportedly asked about how he'd feel if Cheryl was to return to the X Factor judging panel.

According to The Mirror, Louis responded: "Well Simon wouldn't invite Cheryl back because we have Nicole.

"We have Nicole and Sharon, we don't need another girl. So go and f**k off now! No silly questions, seriously."

Ooooooh.

He then snapped: "It's not about Cheryl. Don't be stupid, man."

To make matters worse, Louis also apparently said he wasn’t "really excited" about Cheryl's 'pregnancy' as he hadn’t actually been in contact with her for quite some time.

Still holding on to some hard feelings from the Girls Aloud days, eh Lou?

It seems Liam heard about these rather harsh words towards his girlfriend and took to Twitter to stand up for Cheryl and lash out at Louis.
