Louis Tomlinson breaks silence after death of mother Johannah Deakin

Louis Tomlinson has broken his silence after his mother Johannah Deakin passed away.

The One Direction star’s beloved parent died this week after a battle with leukaemia.

Sad news of his mum’s death was announced on Friday by her husband Dan Deakin and Louis has now spoken out to thank his fans for their well wishes.

He tweeted: "All the support has been incredible. Let’s do this together tonight."

The singer is set to take to the stage this evening on The X Factor, a performance his mother wanted him to go ahead with.

The message on his Twitter page is Louis’ first tweet since October and it reveals he still plans to take to the stage.

Louis fellow 1D bandmates have also offered messages of support after hearing the sad news, with former member Zayn Malik sending his best wishes.

He wrote: "@Louis_Tomlinson love you bro! All of your family is in my prayers. Proud of your strength and know your mum is too x."

Zayn isn’t Louis’ only 1D co-star to speak out - Liam Payne has also offered some warming words online.

He tweeted: "Louis, I’m so sorry for you my brother, my heart aches for you. Just know I can’t begin to imagine what you are all going through. RIP Johannah, you are forever in my thoughts."

Niall Horan added: "Very sad news. Louis, I love you mate and I’m/all of us are here for you all the way. Your mum was an incredible person.

"Thinking of you and your family. Love from my family to yours."

Johannah’s husband Dan Deakin announced the sad news of her death on Friday in a statement to The Sun.

He said: "It is with immeasurable sadness that Johannah Deakin’s family said goodbye to Johannah in the early hours of Wednesday 7th December 2016.

"Earlier this year Johannah was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of leukaemia that required immediate and continuous treatment.

"We respectfully request that the family are given time and space to grieve in private."
