Liam Payne has some BIG news

Doesn't he always?

Liam Payne

Liam Payne is steadily revealing himself as the absolute king of surprises. First there was the relationship with Cheryl Cole (which we still haven't got over), then there was the solo announcement (WITHOUT Simon Cowell), there was also the change of his Twitter handle (which sent Directioners into a wholly unjustified meltdown), AND THEN yesterday he appeared to confirm Cheryl was pregnant.

Liam Payne Cheryl

By appear to confirm, we mean he slightly altered his Twitter and a load of irrational fans took that to mean Cheryl was IMMINENTLY TO BEAR A CHILD.

It all started when he changed his bio to read: "the luckiest man in the world," and fans (who should probably be at school or something) wrote things like: "why did Liam suddenly change his bio and is like 'the luckiest man' I think Cheryl is pregnant omg" and "APPARENTLY CHERYL IS PREGNANT WITH LIAM’S BABY!!!"

All this because she had a slightly fuller (and very healthy-looking) face in a L'Oreal advert.

Maybs she's just eating a bit more than before? Just a thought.

And now Liam's excited everyone AGAIN (but this time it's a bit more justified).

He's in the studio!

WOOOOOOO.

Making his fancy new solo music, presumably.

He posted a frightfully edgy pic of him surrounded by guitars and shit, captioning it: "Hard at work."

We can't WAIT.

But we expect Simon Cowell won't be giving it a cheeky like any time soon, as he was seriously pissed off with Liam for ditching him.

If you'll remember (you should - it was a CRAZY day), Liam informed the world of the news via his Twitter account, posting: "Happy to have signed to @CapitolUK. They have an amazing history of artists, I hope I can follow in their footsteps."

Note: Capitol, NOT Syco (Simon's label).

And speaking to The Sun, Simon said: "It's a bit annoying if I am honest with you – mainly because it is another label who has not got your artist who you worked with for so many years.

"But that is the music business, unfortunately. I don't think anyone else from the band will do that."
