Louis Walsh threw some major shade at Cheryl

We’re NGL, we were really kinda relieved when we found out that The X Factor was going [semi-back to its roots this year](URL

planetradio.co.uk/heat/celebrity/news/simon-cowell-confirms-sharon-osbourne-coming-back-x-factor/) - and Simon Cowell had roped in Sharon Osbourne, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh to join him as judges once more. Yup, we were even pleased about Louis.

Because if there’s one thing we learnt from last year’s show, it’s that CHANGE. IS. NOT. GOOD.

And Louis (not one to be a gallant winner, it transpires) has been a bit rude about the previous judging panel.

Speaking during an appearance on RTE’s Saturday Night with Miriam, he said: “I was really glad that it didn’t work without me.” Fair enough, Lou, fair enough.

He threw some MAJOR indirect shade at Cheryl too, saying of Nicole: “She can really, really sing. She’s touring with Andrea Bocelli, she did Cats, she was in the Pussycat Dolls.

"She can sing, perform, act, she can do all kinds of music and she can do it live. Unlike other judges on the show."

Saucer of milk for Mr Walsh?

He described the 2016 panel as the “dream team” and added that viewers were more partial to the “more experienced crew”.

Lou also took a cheeky lil pop at Sharon, saying that she’s “got a new face”. He said It's her third face and it's the best one yet. That's what I say to her as well, but it's fun.

"She's had a bit of work done and she looks amazing. I have great fun with her – she doesn't mind me saying things like that."

Dermot O’Leary will also be returning to join the dream team (in an £8m deal!). He was replaced by Olly Murs and Caroline Flack last year (to very mixed reviews) but was sorely missed and asked by Simon to return. Olly proved himself (unlike Louis) to be a real gent - recently saying that Dermot was “Mr X Factor” and a better suit for the show than him.
