When Georgia Harrison announced today she’d split from her Love Island boyfriend Sam Gowland many jumped to the conclusion Sam had been a naughty boy.
The pair fell for one another on the ITV2 reality show this summer and carried on dating when they left the series and were back in the UK.
But Georgia announced they’d gone their separate ways today, writing on Twitter: “Would like to confirm that myself and Sam are no longer together. Unfortunately for some men one girl isn’t always enough.”
Some of her followers assumed Sam had been unfaithful to Georgia, with many sending her supportive messages, but she insists this is not the case.
Sam shared and then deleted a picture from Instagram on Friday night when he was seen getting close to Big Brother and Ex On The Beach star Kayleigh Morris at the launch of new Birmingham super club Rosies.
The reality star also shared a video of himself on Snapchat in which he was seen with Kayleigh, and Georgia claims it was Sam’s social media posts which prompted her to announce their break-up.
After she was inundated with harsh messages accusing her of causing the end of the Love Islanders' relationship, fiery Kayleigh insisted she was not to blame, claiming the pair had actually split weeks ago.
And now it seems there may be more to the separation than meets the eye, as Kayleigh’s friend and former Big Brother co-star Rebecca Jane, who was also at Rosies on Friday evening, has suggested it may have been Georgia who was not on her best behaviour.
Rebecca tweeted: “How awful to publicly suggest someone’s cheated and then say ‘but they haven’t cheated’… great victim act! Well done.”
She added: “It’s called let’s play the victim to get sympathy & press, but I got with someone else weeks ago - CONVENIENTLY missed out.”
We have contacted a representative for Georgia for comment.
Rebecca did not go on to say exactly what Georgia had done and it seems if anything did happen, Sam isn’t that bothered as he and Georgia are still pals.
He tweeted: “I can confirm that me and Georgia aren’t together anymore, we haven’t been for a while now! Wish her all the best in the future x.”
He added: “Just to clarify! Still mates now, wish her all the best x.”
