Love Island couple Georgia Harrison and Sam Gowland have split, with some show fans concluding Sam cheated.
The couple stayed together after their time on the ITV2 series earlier this year but they have now gone their separate ways.
Announcing the news on Twitter, Georgia wrote: “Would like to confirm that myself and Sam are no longer together. Unfortunately for some men one girl isn’t always enough.”
Speculation Sam had been unfaithful to Georgia began to mount on Friday night after he was pictured at a nightclub appearance with former Ex On The Beach and Big Brother star Kayleigh Morris.
After seeing the snap, which has now been deleted, on Sam’s Instagram page and reading Georgia’s tweet, her followers stuck up for her with hundreds of supportive messages.
One person wrote: “Yeah, well his standards have dropped to the likes of that vile human he’s pictured with so I think you’ve had a lucky escape.”
Someone else remarked: “This time next year nobody is going to know who he is and he’ll have nothing but regrets so f*ck it… onwards and upwards.”
And another person posted: “Hope that you’re okay girl, you are beautiful and deserve so much better.”
Georgia then tweeted that Sam had not cheated but she felt moved to announce their split after the pictures he shared online.
She wrote: “I’m not saying @SamGowland123 cheated… that’s not the case, our relationship pretty much broke down a couple of weeks ago.
“But following on from his social media posts last night I felt it’s best to announce we are both single.
“I can guarantee I went into the (Love Island) villa with the hopes of finding love. Fingers crossed I find it outside the villa instead.”
When asked if Georgia and Sam split over the photo from his night out, Kayleigh replied: “No because they were already broken up.”
