Love Island’s Jonny Mitchell is the new face of Abercrombie & Fitch? Eh, WHAT?

From Casa Amore to the catwalk

Seeing as our hearts are still heaving, mourning the loss of Love Island from our lives, it’s only polite of our ex-Islanders to get graftin’ and secure some big gigs now they’re back on slightly less exotic turf. Big gigs like modelling. So we can have a good gawp at their perfectly toned physiques. After all, it would only be muggy for them not to.

Whilst Alex Beattie, Kem Cetinay and Marcel Somerville are jumping on the BoohooMAN bandwagon, and many of the girls are promoting various fashion brands, prepare yourselves for some news that will induce an Amber Davies-like ‘I just got a text’ squeal.

Jonny Mitchell is in talks to become the new face of Abercrombie & Fitch. We know.

And appearently he’s eating humble pie about the whole thing.

"Jonny’s never considered modelling before but he’s extremely flattered and upping his game in the fashion stakes in order to impress, " a source told Metro.co.uk.

As if we needed confirmation as to why Jonny has modelling potential (as if), the source added: "They see him as a great, popular face with amazing modelling potential with his height and good looks."

And he’s not putting his eggs all in just one, crazy-modelling-contract basket. Jonny’s also signed up for a shoot with top fashion magazine, Ponystep, and he’s been just a lil' busy attending meetings with ITV bosses for the upcoming series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.

So dry those eyes and get ready for a lot more Love Island eye candy on our screens and Insta feeds very, very soon. heat predicts it’ll be blazin’.

UPDATE: An Abercrombie and Fitch spokesperson has told heat there's actually no truth to these rumours. Bit awks, Jonny hun.

"We can confirm there is no truth to this rumor; no such discussions have taken place or will be taking place.”
