They’ve seemed head over heels since she left Love Island to be with him, but heat can reveal things might not be all they seem in Sophie Gradon and Tom Powell’s relationship.
A source close to Sophie tells heat she’s been in touch with her ex-girlfriend, Natalie Phillips, and has even suggested meeting up with her, despite spending the last few weeks posting constantly about Tom and even taking him to meet her parents.
Speaking on Love Island, Sophie admitted to Tom that she still loved her ex “to bits” adding: “It would be nice for you to meet her, you’d probably get on.” But our insider isn’t so sure.
"Sophie has been in contact with Natalie since she left Love Island," we’re told.
"If I was Tom, I’d be pretty upset. She’s asked if she can meet up with Natalie as she wants them to remain close and sometimes she can't help but be a bit flirty, given their past together."
heat revealed Natalie’s identity while Sophie was on Love Island – the couple were on and off for around eight months and called time on the relationship a couple of months before Sophie went on the show.
"It was an intense relationship," we were told at the time.
"They were obsessed with each other and Natalie was totally in love. Sophie wasn’t always as into it and kind of messed her around a bit."
And luckily for Tom, our source adds that it’s unlikely anything would now happen between Sophie and Natalie – who also has a girlfriend.
"Natalie doesn’t really want to see Sophie – she broke her heart," we’re told.
"She sees Sophie as the one who got away, but there are a lot of difficult feelings there. Meanwhile, although she still naturally has feelings for Natalie, Sophie loves Tom and is committed to him.”
