We can probably all agree that the Love Actually sequel was the most exciting aspect of the year so far. TheComic Relief special, that saw loads of the original cast reunite 14 years later for a 12-minute sequel, proved again that love actually is all around.

IT WAS A MASTERPEICE.

From Kate Moss rocking up, Hugh Grant grooving to Hotline Bling to Sam and Joanna getting ENGAGED – it was just perfect in every single way.

However, a few notable faces were missing – including Emma Thompson who revealed the really, really sad reason why she wouldn't be taking part.

Emma – who starred alongside her adulterous husband (played by the amazing Alan Rickman) - thought the sequel came too soon after his Alan's death.

Speaking to PA about why she won't be in it, she said: "It's too soon. It's absolutely right because it's supposed to be for Comic Relief but there isn't much comic relief in the loss of our dear friend really only just over a year ago.

"We thought and thought but it just seemed wrong but to revisit the wonderful fun characters of Bill Nighy and Hugh Grant and Liam (Neeson) and all of that, that's fantastic but obviously what would he have done?"

:(

However, there were a few more faces absent from proceedings, including Octopus boy, otherwise known as Natalie's little brother (who was played by actor Billy Campbell.)

Y'know the smiley lil bugger who was wedged between the Prime Minister and Natalie on the way to the Christmas play?

Thankfully, Billy's godmother Kathy Burke to provide us with an update and now he's a proper grown up! Who woulda thought it! Lol.

The funny lady tweeted: "Want to feel old? Here’s what octopus boy aka my godson, Bill looks like now."

Look how lovely he is!

SO CUTE.
