Alexandra ‘Binky’ Felstead and Josh 'JP' Patterson from Made in Chelsea have had a noticeably on/off relationship over the last 18 months, with Binky admitting that she felt "overwhelmed" at hearing the news that she was expecting her first child with JP.

We’ve been so caught up in the surprise pregnancy that we’ve forgotten that their relationship has been rockier than a mountain avalanche, so we’re putting our deerstalkers on and looking back at their relationship timeline.

August 2015

The pair set tongues wagging after their noticeable chemistry and similar interests in Made in Chelsea series 10, although they kept their relationship platonic for a while, Binky admits that the more time she spends with him the easier it is to fall for him.

Binky and JP make their relationship official after keeping it a secret, which begs the question, how long had they been keeping it a secret?

Binky reveals that she has had doubts about her relationship with JP as her friends judge him for his ‘commitment-phobe’ behaviour. She confesses that she is always ‘waiting for the worst to happen’ in their relationship.

JP confesses his love for Binky on a park bench on an episode of the show. In the same episode, the pair have an argument about what it means to be in a committed relationship on a night out and JP calls her "ridiculous".

When did they first split up?

JP calls Binky and tells her their relationship is over after he finds out that she has kissed another man after having a drink. This act happens outside of the show. This happened after JP told Binky that things between them have become "too predictable." Talk about a bad day…

13 June 2016

After Binky’s cheating confession on the show, JP slams her for being immature, telling her that she needs "to grow up" and take responsibility for her actions instead of blaming it on him or her drinking. After a teary heart to heart, Binky tells him that his rejection hurts her and that she just misses him.

1 August 2016

Binky sits down on the Lorraine and reveals she has moved on from JP, saying "JP told me to move on and there’s only so long a girl can wait," suggesting that she believed they would get back together one day.

Binky considers resuming her relationship with JP on the show which leaves fans in an angry flurry with many tweeting their disdain. Perhaps Binky decided to take JP back off the show and this resulted in her current pregnancy?

Binky and JP sparks rumours that they are back together after Binky posts a picture of JP with co- stars Sam Thompson and Jamie Laing on her Instagram with the caption "Out with the fam..."

Binky announces she's pregnant with JP's baby

15 January 2017

It is revealed that Binky is pregnant with her first child, and JP is the father. Although the two are not a couple, Binky suggests that they could get married in the future and that they are currently going on dates to test the waters.

Binky sends out an Instagram post wishing her baby daddy JP a Happy Valentine’s Day with the caption: "Happy Valentine’s Day to this gorgeous baby daddy to be. Count myself very lucky to have you in my life," suggesting that the two are taking things slow but are happy preparing for parenthood.
