Things got pretty heated on Liam Payne's Twitter last week when he had a few HARSH words for Louis Walsh.

After Louis had apparently taken a bit of a dig at Cheryl during an interview, Liam took to Twitter to lay into Louis and stand up for his lady.

He wrote: "Congratulations to Louis Walsh for setting the worst example on handling media for his band who are about to step into a very hard industry."

And then: "Maybe it's about time you realise it's not all about you and shut the f*ck up for once, let them speak."

OUCH.

5 After Midnight then stepped in and insisted they are 'really supportive' of Cheryl and Liam.

And when it comes to their mentor, the boys had this to say: "Louis is Louis. He will do what he does."

Now Louis has spoken out and explained he has nothing bad to say about Liam and Cheryl.

Speaking to The Daily Star, Louis revealed: "I think Cheryl and Liam starting a family will make her really happy. I honestly think she deserves to be happy.

"And I think this will make her happy over and above what her career does."

He also added: "Liam's a nice guy. I have nothing bad to say about them."

How very mature, Lou.
