Harry Styles' debut solo single is set to drop in a matter of days. HOURS EVEN.
After posting a rather non-descript picture on Instagram with the caption "SIGN.OF.THE.TIMES // 7.APRIL.17//," no one was really entirely sure what Harry would do on 7th April.
He may just release a 30 second snippet, or the single artwork. No one really had a bloody clue thanks to Harry's people probably working overtime to maintain the air of mystery.
BUT NOW SOME SECRETS HAVE BEEN REVEALED AND IT'S ALL VERY EXCITING.
According to The Sun: "The meticulously planned debut of the single at 8am on Friday will kick off an Adele-style campaign to establish Harry as the world’s biggest male star."
Apparently, Harry will "distance himself from the teen pop direction of his former band" taking influence from David Bowie, Mick Jagger and Paul McCartney.
A source told the newspaper: "Harry isn’t a typical popstar. This is an art rock project – and he wants to let the music do the talking."
Ooooh, art-rock. Interesting…
To avoid hackers getting hold of the song before its release, Sign of the Times is reportedly only on two iPods – neither of which have connection to the internet – and people who have been lucky enough to listen to the song have had a sign non-disclosure agreements.
It’s all a bit 007, really.
According to the source, Harry has been very personally involved in making his solo music: "Harry has written songs and the meanings are very personal to him, based on his life.
“He has also been playing the guitar and the piano as well. He’s a very modest guy, but it was important to him that this music represented him totally.”
Oh, and he's also been dangling from a helicopter in some first look shots from his FIRST EVER SOLO MUSIC VIDEO.
In the pictures, Harry can be seen all harnessed-up, dangling from a helicopter over the sea off the coast of a secret location in Scotland, belting his little heart out. Dressed in a dapper outfit, obvs.
It's all very dramatic.
