Spice Girls reunion

A few years back, the Spice Girls reunion was 100% THE EVENT of 2012 (it totally overshadowed the Olympics, let's be real).

And the imminent reformation of Geri Horner, Mel B and Emma Bunton as GEM was ABSOLUTELY the news of 2016.

After teasing us for a while (hanging out at studios together and the like), they finally confirmed in July they'd be reforming for a MASSIVE concert at Hyde Park next year. It was reported that Mel C wouldn't be part of it because of a fight with Mel B, and obviously Posh Spice is a too kl for skl fashionista now – so it's just going to be the three of them.

And now Mel C has thrown some MEGA SHADE their way, and made our 90s selves kinda sad in the process.

In an essay for LOVE magazine, she says she'd love to relive the band's former glory: "But we were a five-piece band. Didn't we reach a peak with the Olympics?"

OH, SNAP, MEL C.

"There’s a lot to be said for bowing out on a high note. For me, the absolute pinnacle of my Spice existence was being watched by a billion people around the globe belting out Spice up Your Life on top of a black cab at the 2012 London Olympics.

"Anything less than the full line-up just didn’t feel like we’d be doing justice to the band or the fans."

:(

As if this whole reunion business ISN'T EXCITING ENOUGH, the Spice Girls are apaz planning a comeback TV documentary to coincide with their tour.

An insider told The Sun: ""The Spice Girls comeback is the big story in pop so it’s no wonder the girls want to maximise their popularity.

"The girls are always good value, so there will be plenty of material."

FAR too much excitement for a post-bank holiday Tuesday.
