Liam Hemsworth has finally addressed his rekindled relationship with Miley Cyrus, stating that calling off their previous engagement in 2013 'needed to happen' so they could get to the happy place that they're in now.

The Hunger Games actor and Miley dated for three years before ended their relationship and things seemed pretty final. However, the pair rekindled a few months ago - Miley's even been seen with her engagement ring firmly back on.

Opening up to GQ Austraila, Liam explains the reason he thought a break-up was the right decision at the time.

"Of course it was hard, man. But at the time we were going in different directions and it's just what needed to happen. We were both super young and it was a good decision at the time - we both needed that."

And speaking about their relationship now, he added: "People will figure it out, they already have... They're not dumb.

"I guess when I feel something, then I just feel it and I go for it. I make my decisions about what's going to make me happy, what I think is right and what I want to do - and I don't worry too much outside of that."

TOO RIGHT LIAM.

And how is life being shacked up with the one and only Miley Cyrus?

Liam also revealed to the magazine that he rarely goes out anymore, preffering to "get loose", ooooer, at home rather go out to bars where just his presence has caused a whole load of drama in the past.

Referring to an incident in 2012 when a man threw rocks at him outside a bar and Liam hit him, with the entire incident captured on video.

He said: "It was silly, drunk stuff and it's kind of why I don't go out anymore, I prefer to get real loose in my own house and have people come to me. When I'm drunk, like anyone, I don't think straight or make the best decisions. You don't see it in the video, but that guy tackled me pretty good... Not that I condone fighting, of course, um, do it in a cage, like in the UFC."

Why go out when the party never stops with Miley?
