Remaking or reworking any Disney classic is extremely dangerous territory, will it EVER be as good as the original? Hmmmm.
But after the stellar success of the recent remake of Beauty and the Beast (best film we're possibly ever seen in our entire lives) – we're feeling VERY positive about Jon Favreau's remake of The Lion King. AKA: The best Disney film ever made. Sorry not sorry.
Rumours of the brand new Lion King cast – Beyonce could be voicing Nala omg– have been swirling around for a while now and it looks like Favreau has finally found his perfect Timon and Pumba.
YEP, The Wrap are reporting that Seth Rogan and Billy Eichner are 'both in final negotiations' to play the iconic comedy duo (no one is sure which one is which) and could evenbe singing 'Hakuna Matata' together VERY SOON.
Amazing.
If reports are true, the comedy actors join Donald Glover (Simba), Beyonce?? (Nala) and James Earl Jones (Mufusa) in the line-up.
Oh we just can't waaaaaaait... for this film.
