We all thought Zayn Malik left One Direction because he wanted to be 'a normal 23-year-old again'.
How wrong were we.
Turns out that the sole reason Zayn quit 1D wasn't due to the emotional baggage, the pressures of touring, the fact he wasn't allowed to grow a beard, the constant media speculation about his private life or his dislike of every One Direction song ever made, oh no - it was because an alien told him to.
Yep, we've all been basically living a lie for the past two years. Lovely.
In a quickfire interview with Glamour magazine, Zayn was asked what his sole motive was to leave the band.
He answered, "An alien spoke to me in a dream..."
So there you go. No need to speculate anymore.
Zayn, of course, could be joking with us all. He probably is. Especially as he answered the next question, 'Whats the first thing you do when you see old friends?', with: "We do this weird thing: we communicate with words."
LOL.

In other Zany news, it seems his relationship with supermodel Gigi Hadid is still going strong, as Gigi uploaded this insanely cute kissing shot to Instagram the other day.
