We kinda always imagined Harry Styles to be that guy at the party aloofly sipping beer in the corner and looking effortlessly cooler than everyone else with an air of superiority draped all over him.
So we were pleased to hear that he can (allegedly) be a bit of a disaster too sometimes.
And this story is pretty darn disastrous.
We’ve all woken up bleary eyed with only a vague recollection of the previous night’s events, but let us ask you this:
Have you, HAVE YOU, ever woken up thinking: ‘ah, what happened last night? Wait – Tom Hanks was here, wasn’t he? Omg, OMG, did I ask Tom Hanks whether he remembered Forrest Gump? I did, didn’t I? ARRRGHHH. FML. I need an orange juice.’
No you have not.
But Harry MIGHT have been in this precise situation.
This is one of the claims Kathy Griffin has made in her new book, Kathy Griffin’s Celebrity Run-Ins: My A-Z Index.
She says in the book that Harry, joined by Kendall Jenner (!), was super drunk at an Eagles concert, and Tom even joked that he wanted to take him to rehab.
But this is the best bit. The books claims that Harry kept reminding Tom about his roles in films like Saving Private Ryan and Forrest Gump. Kathy also claims that he kept reminding him of his roles and plot lines.
“Yes, he was asking Tom Hanks if Tom remembers playing the role of Forrest Gump, for which he won the Academy Award. I can’t point out here enough how Harry Styles seemed to think it was him mission to make sure Tom Hanks did not forget the names of any of his films or the fact that he had starred in these films.”
Seriously, we need to go on a night out with Harry STAT.
